Syria wins an honorary bronze medal at the Int’l Informatics Olympiad in Hungary

Damascus – SANA – A Syrian school team won an honorary bronze medal at the International Olympiad in Informatics for School Teams (IIOT 2025), hosted by Hungary at the beginning of June.

“This result came after a distinguished scientific performance over two days, which qualified the team to achieve a medal-worthy ranking, but its “remote” participation led to it being considered an unofficial team according to the competition’s rules, which resulted in the medal being awarded in an “honorary” capacity,” the Distinction and Creativity Agency said in a statement.
